Workin' Hard for The MONEY

This weekend was pretty packed full of things to do. Friday I had a typical day and got home a little bit earlier from the gym because I got out of Nes 7 early. I had some of the girls over before the banquet and then listened for 3 hours to awards and what not. It was faster this year than most... Unfortunately while eating I dropped a bit of stuffed shell on me and was wearing a white dress, so Jesse brought me a news dress and THANKFULLY I got the stain out. Today and yesterday were pretty much repeated days. Most of my friends were at a wedding yesterday so I worked for 6 hours painting and what not in the new office... Then I went back today and did about 4 hours. Luckily I'm getting paid or else I'd be a very unhappy camper. I don't mind getting dirty, but when it comes to dust and the smell of paint I leave congested and with a headache. For the rest of the afternoon I'm going to watch the Sox game and probably shoot over to the Green Mountain Mall because I need to get somethings for one of my bestestess who turns 21 tomorrow.... She and I were the last.. and now i'm the last :*( Pitty party for me...

I think I've Lost my Mind

I got to school and was having a really good day. I watched Angels in America again in class and it's so facinating. It gives you a comical way of approaching really serious things so that the movie inspires you, yet upsets you. Afterward I forced myself to go to the gym and to top being lazy. I felt a lot better after I did it. So, at this point I took my gym shoes off and put them in my back before I ran into the bagel depot to get some lunch. When I got home Jesse and I had some lunch and I did some work for the project I had to do this afternoon. I decided I wanted to head back to school a half hour before painting so I could hit the snack bar, check my mail and do some more work on the project. But, silly me misplaced my keys! I looked high and low, under the coach cushions, tore apart my bed... empty and reloaded my bag nine times, they were no where. So, I decided maybe as positive as I was they were in my bag maybe they fell out and were locked in my car... They weren't there. So after a mini-breakdown and an hour and half (missing painting class) of searching I looked through the closet where I had been folding clothes and somehing shiney caught my eye.... Inside of my left sneaker were my keys! They had fallen into my shoe... UGH! After I finally found my keys I headed up to do my project which went really well the down to the office to do some more painting. Now I'm finally home and just getting to dinner.... YUM!

Gobble Gobble

Today was just like any other Wednesday, classes News 7 yada yada... Although I did something completly out of character for myself, I did a story on hunting! Now going to school in Vermont was a drastic change for me in many ways, weather, scenery, people count... But another thing I had to get used to was the "sport" of hunting. I've always seen stalking and shooting at animals as semi-inhumane, but I have a lot of friends who do hunt and I love them just the same. I've had some heated debates but I've never been one to push my thoughts onto somebody else, they think what they think and I think what I think it shouldn't come between us. So, ironically I saw a friend/hunter in the hall way today and told him I was looking for a story to put on the News tonight and he joyfully told me that Turkey Season opens tomorrow and I should do a story on it. So I put my feelings aside and decided to learn about hunting and gain some knowledge so I wouldn't be ignorant to the subject and unfairly biased. I called up the Weighing Station in Lyndonville, which happens to be the local sport shop and set up an interview. After a long day and being silly shooting things in the story my fabulously awesome photog and I decided it would be funny to encourage my rediculousness and he agreed to shoot a stand up of me dressed in all camo. So we came up with a witty stand-up and shot it and put it into the story. It was EPIC!! I was so happy with it, it brought some life and fun into the story as well as News 7... My work here is done!

rainy days :*(

So today was a really weird day weather wise. I woke up early and tossed and turned so I decided I mine as well get up and get going. I got ready for class and headed their a little early to prepare for my infamous Finder Binder Quiz. It went well, I had all the information this time and organizing it last night helped things go by a bit smoother. After I finished I got out of class about a half hour early so I headed to the snack bar for a caffine boost and chatted with Doc for a bit in the hall before my other class. In class we were going to watch A Raisin in the Sun, a play read previously in the semester. The DVD was broken when our teacher received it from NetFlicks and the library didn't have it. So we wached Angels in America, well part one, it's a play that we used last semester in acting class. Borrowed a few scenes and acted them out. The movie was interesting, I wish I had read the play before I began watching the movie, but maybe I'll read i after where done. In between classes I came home for some lunch and did some work on my collage due tomorrow. It was such a rainy day it icky it didn't bring a lot of motivation up to par. I stopped to get gas before class, since gas is so expensive my goal is to never let it get more than a 1/4 missing because it's scary to see how much half a tank costs. I know in the long run it'll be paying the same amount but it feels better seeing smaller numbers at the time. After I headed to painting. finished my painting, saw it turned over to SNOW and decided to leave and go home. I've been putting around the house ever since and I'm going to relax and read my new cosmo!

One Less Monday Left of School

After a pretty relaxing weekend I knew getting back into things may be a little slow, but putting rainy, icky weather on top of that really doesn't help. It was a gray day in the NorthEast Kingdom and everyone was clearly depressed and missing the 80 degree sunny weather were spolied with for a week. Either way I managed to get to my classes and feel I was productive in some sense of the word. Then I got to News 7 and stories fell through and I was sort of lathargic to get back on the horse and keep trying so I did a few readers and a VO for the red sox game yesterday. I also practiced some editing with it so it wound up being fun. Afterward I went to the gym and did a decent work out. I felt the burn, lets just say that. Now I'm home and I plan on relaxing and organizing my finder sinder for class in the morning!

It's the Freakin' Weekend Gonna Have me Some FUN

Yesterday was typical Friday, school News 7 and home! However, on the way home I picked up a stray named Krystle and she came over for a while and played guitar hero before Jesse and all his friends came back and pretty soon the living room was full of noise and laughter. It was a pretty interesting night and it was good to see Jesse's freind from school. After a long night, I headed to bed. I woke up extremely early this morning and brought Krystle to the bank to cash a check. After I dropped her off I cleaned the house for almost three hours. We we're expecting Jesse's family over later on and the house was in need of some Spring cleaning anywho. It was a pretty relaxing day, took a walk around town by myself while he met his brother, Mom and sister and then we had lunch and played some video games and what not until dinner time. We got Chinese for dinner and just sat and watched TV while eating. Soon it was 7:30 and Jesse's brother headed back to school and his Mom and sister to the hotel for bed time. Overall, I'm pretty tired right now and am almost ready to call it a night.... But who knows maybe a trip to Wally-World is in order................

Easy Breazy

I woke up today and headed to class, seeing as how I didn't have bake a cake or anything! When we got there we just discussed the play and the time period and tried to understand a bit more about Sam Shepard and his logic behind writing Curse of the Starving Class. I guess I was quiet for most of the discussion because I am partial to a character who most dislike so I didn't want to seem like I was playing the devil's advocate, which I wound up doing anyway! After class I came home and ate the left over salad I made for Jesse's birthday dinner last night, a bit soggy but still scumptious, the dressing I made was so tangy and interesting I love it. I hung around a bit, watched some E! News and read US Weekly... I love my celeb gossip, plus it's cheaper than buying Cosmo. After a bit I headed back up to school to do some more work on my finder binder then went over to painting. I'm finishing up the light house I'm working on and for my final project I want to paint something along the lines of heat lightening off a beach, or lightening in general, I think it will be fun and beautiful. After painting class I went and did some more painting, trying to rack up some more work hours from North East Sports Net. I got extremely dirty and of course paint all over myself and somethings that maybe shouldn't have paint on them :*/ whoops! I worked for about 4 1/2 hours and am ready to rest and call it a night, LONG day tomorrow and then company will be here for the evening I'd imagine... So I'm going to relax while I still can.

Scorcher

I woke up today and had to make a birthday cake for Jesse. It was horrible because it was so hot out that the frosting was melty and gross so it was hard to put on and spread. Afterward I headed up to school because I wasn't sure if both my classes were canceled or just one. So, I went up there around 11:10 and after sitting there a bit, we decided as a class it was canceled. I went to news 7 a bit early and did somethings before going out my story. I did a story on a Reiki Master in St Johnsbury who was amazingly easy to talk with and gave me a really great story. We stayed there for almost an hour and a half doing the story and just talking with her. She was a really great/interesting person to meet. I also got to experience Reiki and found it quiet exhilarating. We got back around 3:00 ish and I wrote the story and tracked it and wound up leaving News 7 around 4:15. I have to find a recipe to make a fabulous birthday dinner for Jesse... Any Ideas?

Painting is not My Thing

Today I woke up and headed off to my two morning classes. My first class was some what shortened because we have a lot of work to do for a "Finder Binder" quiz today. So on my break I went to try to find a computer to do some printing for it and what not, unfortunately the printer in the exercise science lab was being screwy and I couldn't get anything to print correctly, there was a class in the lib lab, and the 24 hour lab was full... Bogus. By the time I searched the school for a computer to start printing the information I need off it was 9:30 so I went to theatre class and we had a very good conversation. We got out of that class early too so I decided I would be a motivated student and I would get some of that finder binder work out of the way. I got most of it done but Punk and Krystle called me and said they were basking in the sun down on band stand park, so I decided to put my priorities in order, get my painting supplies and jam out in the sun with some foxy ladies. We sat out for about an hour and I got some good color because it was amazingly gorgeous/hot out. After painting I came home and sat on the porch for another half an hour before Jesse got home and we went to the baseball game for a bit to cheer on the guys! Then it was time to work... UGH. We had to paint the new office space for Northeast Sports Net. I'd hate to say I enjoyed sitting in the 4 inches of dirt and dust to paint the base boards and constantly going up and down a ladder to touch up the ceilings but I was getting paid, so it was OK. I'm just happy to be home, relaxing and with nothing else to do! I'm glad I got to enjoy the nice weather seeing as how it's supposed to rain tonight and who knows for how long...

Somebody's got a case of the Mondays

Today was just not my day. I woke up exhausted, I could barely function. It's a terrible feeling to have on a Monday, let me tell you. So I went about my buisness, class and News 7 in a fog. I was almost useless in more than one sense. I wrote the readers for the sports blog and was going to do prompter, but I had a package in the mail room and it was only open until 3 and I thought it was 4. So when I got back from the mail room they were doing a run through and someone had to take over prompting. I was okay with it because I generally panic like I'm doing it bad or messing the anchor up, but I think I'm just paranoid. I tore open my package and found the dress my Mom ordered me and some sour patch kids hidden in there and a cute note so that made my day happy for a bit. Although my Mom loves to make it extremely difficult to open the package, so I was hacking away at it for a bit. But, after News 7 I went to work out in hopes to get my motivation back up but that didn't work out too well either. I guess today was a "case of the monday's" as they say in Office Space. Right now I'm just going to relax and sit on the porch with a cold beverage!

She's only happy in the sun.

I woke up this morning thinking it was going to be a bad day. I went to my first class and it turned my mood around and I thought getting out early and being indulged in a good conversation may mean my day was looking up. However, I forgot the assignment for my next class and my work out clothes so I was a little stressed over that but it turned out my class was cancled so I didn't have to fret. I came home, changed into some golf attire and headed to the bank. While at the bank I got a call from Jen, she was walking on the side of the road and needed a lift because she had dropped their car off to get an oil change and realized it was blazing hot out. I gave her a lift and borrowed a vibrant collared shirt because I didn't have one. As I headed to News 7 I realized it was a great day! I had a story, everything from before worked out, I was going to be in the sun during my story and all was well. Andrew and I left the station to head to the St J Country Club to interview the new golf pro. He's an amazing man and the interview went very smoothly. Since we decided to make it a package I did a stand up, well a sit down I guess in a golf cart about when the club itself will actually open. I thought it was sorta of cute in a dorky kinda way. After eidting it and what not I was ready to go work out with Andy because he said we could work out outside! Yay! More sunshine. Unfortunately there was no one to do prompter so our work out was only about 45 minutes long, but very nice. When I got back from prompting the 5:30 show I decided I hadn't had enough of the outdoors and went for a run. About half way through I started to feel nautious and weary... That's when it dawned on me all I had to day was a Starbucks Iced Frapachino from the snack bar and a slushi Andrew and I got on our way to do our story... Errr needless to say I headed home and now i'm ready to shower and beast food... hmmm... pizza sounds delicious!!

Why am I Slacking Hardcore?

So, I've been noticing that I haven't been blogging everyday, I have been doing my homework but not early like I used to... More last minute and I can't fathom why... Well, I thought about it for a bit and I believe it has something to do with the sunshine wonderfulness that's been embracing the Vermont state for once. I feel like for the first time in an entire year we've had a string of sunshine and beautiful weather and I guess I don't want to take it for granted so I've been more apt to be in the sunshine than doing my school work. For instance, yesterday I went to my classes but got out of the first one early and I had this uncontrollable urge to skip the rest of the day and pretend to be sick. Who does that? I mean honestly, I'm twenty years old. Needless to say I decided against it and went to my other class and News 7. I couldn't stand to be in the studio any longer and neither could Jen so we decided to go make news happen to the best of our ability. She wound up getting a VO/SOT and unfortunately for me my idea was closed down, literally the store wasn't open. But at least I got to bask in the sun while Jen was doing her interview, got a slice of pizza and then got sent home after we got back so I wouldn't be in the way because my producer for the day's show was stacked to the max. After I managed to convince myself I needed to go to the gym and to stop being a baby. So, I got through a 2 hour work out, which felt like death with Longley and headed home. Soon after Jen, Andy, and Adam came over and we watched Labyrinth and just hung around. Jen and I went out later for dinner and it was an overall good day. It's been nice hanging out with Jen, I feel like I never see her so it's good to be seeing her on a regular basis now! But today is another procrastination day which I need to snap out of and get my life together. Maybe I could combine the two and do some homework out on the deck...

Tuesday and Sunny

I was woken up earlier than I had wished this morning but I managed to get in gear and make it to school with time to spare and a chance to grab a coffee. I walked in a daze to the snack bar and saw Jen, so we walked up to class together, which was as eventful as always. Afterward I walked around aimlessly until my 9:30 class where we attempted to have a meaningful dicussion about a play we read and with all the slackers in my class that didn't happen :*P
So, I got out of class early and went to the bank and White's Market to get something to try a new recipe tonight. I told Jen to come over for dinner since I haven't hung out with her it what seems like forever, so that will be nice. I think the girls may come over before they got out on their scandelous adventures tomorrow night as well. After I did my errands I ate some lunch and headed back up to school so I could go to the gym before painting. I accomplised a lot today, got my homework done for the week and now I have a monster headache so I'm planning on watching Genral Hospital (thanks to DVR) and maybe take a napski.

So This is School?

Well, today was the epitome of a "Manic Monday." I woke up around twenty of seven and got my things ready for the day heading out expecting the first day back from vacation to be a LONG one. And boy was it. I went to my first class and talked about theatre and the aspects of a set. It was a pretty interesting class, but I was a bit groggy. Afterward I grabbed a coffee and hung out with Krystle before performance class. For some strange reason half of our class was missing so we decided that a class of four people is pretty rediculous. So, I went to News 7 a bit early today and the show was in rough shape. Only two people went out in the morning and three reporters called in sick. It was crazy slow and we were really struggling to find stories. I wound up doing to VOs and helping out in any other way I could. I wound up not working out because I was in News 7 from 11:20-6:00. CRAZY REDICULOUS. But, I got home finally and read A Curse of the Starving Class for play wiriting class tomorrow! I have about six more pages left so I may watch the rest of Star Wars before I finish, it'll make the drama that much more epic when I read it...

Who Taught Me How to Spell??

Today was my "relaxing" day. Since I've been waking up around 8 all week to drive my Mom to work I decided to stay in bed until 11:30. I slept til about 10:30 and watched TV the rest of the time. When I got up I prepared stuffed shells for dinner, as I promised and vacuumed out my lovely vehicle. When I was done with that I just watched One Tree Hill and laid down, for some reason I just felt wiped out. Once it came time to get my Mom I got in gear and we headed to the gym. We we're both in the "blah" mood so we just did the elipticall and sit ups and called it good. From there we headed to Bob's Stores to check out Red Sox gear and other things... went to BJs and got some milk and water. Milk is so cheap down here I couldn't believe it! We got home and packed up my car a bit for my journey back to VT tomorrow. At least I got to see the boys for a minute when we saw Mike and Aimee outside their house and stopped. I miss my little man so much when I'm at school, I could eat them both up. I feel like tonight will just be relaxing and peaceful, watching American Idol and whatever else is on... CSI!

What do Camels have?? HUMPS!

So yesterday I had to wake up and drive my Mom to work because her car is down in Plymouth being fixed. After that I went to the gym and worked out for a bit, did somethings around the house and waited to about quarter of three to leave and get my Mom. I took my Gram because the three generations were heading to No. Attelboro to do some shopping at the mall, Christmas Tree Shop, and Dress Barn (for Ma & Gram clearly). I got some really cute things at the Forever 21 down there, sandals at Old Navy, and a cute blouse for News 7 at New York and Co. My Mom and Gram got somethings at Macy's and Dress Barn and overall we had some good luck. We ate some dinner at the 99 and headed home. I woke up this morning again to drive my Mom to work and then came home and crawled back into bed for a bit. I've been super exhausted and can't shake the tired funk I've gotten myself into. So, I laid trying to sleep until I got out of bed and headed out on a job search for the summer. I'm going to go back to work at my Dad's Special Need's Camp during the days and I was hoping to get a gig waitressing during weekday nights. I turned in some applications at Bare Foot Bob's, Cheesecake Factory, Water Works, and I basically was told I could have my job back at the 99. I think I'll be taking it because I know the territory and I just need to brush up on the menu, plus it's easy money (even though I get a little crazy somedays). After I job searched I came home for about an hour before I had to go back out and get mi Madre. From there we headed to the gym and then down to Hanover Mall so I could get somethings at Olympia Sports and AC Moore. Overall the past two days have been extremely tiring and I just need a good nights sleep... No more restless nights, starting tonight! Dinner and bed, thats my agenda...

Ouchy... :*(

Yesterday I went out with my Mom to a couple stores and didn't really see anything fantastical, neither did she. I got a shirt and a pair of plane black ballet shoes for a total of $5 at Old Navy so that was pretty exciting and afterward we went to Famous Dave's Barbecue. I feel bad for them because they're located right next to Bugaboo Creek, which has been a part of Braintree for a lot longer and I feel like they don't get nearly enough credit just based on location alone. They're wings are SO good. Later on while I was digesting my food I watched Star Wars Revenge of the Sith, ya I'm a dork like that. I grew up on Star Wars, Ghost Busters, Police Academy, Naked Gun, and Ninja Turtle movies... So, I'm kind of a dork, but with a good sense of humor and knowledge of space! Today wasn't as fun as yesterday. I had to go to the dentist... and it was a different one because my dentist wasn't in today. I got one of the regular dentists to do my cleaning but the man who did my fillings was less than kind. I sware he messed up and put something else in the needle instead of Novocaine because I felt EVERYTHING. I left and vowed I'd never go back. I had the procedure around 11:15 and my mouth is still incredible sore and when I was racing my Mom on the elliptical machines at the gym I had a shooting pain from my jaw all the way to my ear... I felt like such a baby but the one thing I can't handle is throbbing pain. I'd rather have a gash bleeding down my leg than aches and pains that throb... Or a cold. I hate colds too and can't handle sickness. I just don't cope to sickness because I don't normally get sick and this year I've gotten more sickness than I ever have before in my life. BLAH. As for tonight, since no one else is on break with me I will be enjoying apple sauce for dinner so I don't have to chew and The Hills at 10 o'clock. SO NO ONE better call me from 10-11 in case they have a special 2 episode night again like last week.

My Boys Came to Play Today!

So, today didn't go how I expected but it turned out nice. I wound up babysitting my two nephews (my "babies") so my parents could go out. Turns out both my parents and I didn't go out and it was a big family evening with the two most adorable boys in the world, not that I'm biased or anything... I went out earlier with my Mom to do some grocery shopping then veged until around 7 when the little guys arrived. Brady was a bit fussy tonight and wouldn't take his bottle unless I walked him around the house so he could examine everything. Needless to say carrying around a fifteen pound baby with one arm is tiring. I played hide and seek with Christian and Grandpa and had some other fun activities going on. After Brady fell asleep my Mom and I read Christian a glow in the dark space book. The two of us nearly fell off the couch when we turned a page and he knew the milky way! He's only four and he's already studying the planets and space I guess. He also filled Mom and I in that the milky way is where milk comes from... ADORABLE. They just left and the house is a lot quieter. I already miss them :*( Hopefully they'll come play again soon!!

Back to Mass BabYYYY

I came home to Massachusetts today around 11:15 since all my classes/News 7 were cancled! I was so excited to get a head start because traffic through Boston can get pretty rediculous on a Friday evening. When I got home I did some exercises Mr. Miyagi assigned me and unpacked a bit. Afterward I hung out with my Mom and Dad and chatted about everything that's been happening. I also chatted with my bestest today and decided to go see him tomorrow at BC! I'm excited to see his roommates again, and of course him! Also, I'm going in with two of my friends that I haven't seen/hung out with in a while so it'll be good! After I ate some pizza I decided to go to Mike's new place to see him and Mark and who knows who else! I'm betting it'll be a good chance to catch up and such! I better be going...

It's only Hump Day...

With Spring break nearing I'm getting a little anxious and the motivation is definitely going down hill. I woke up this morning and all I wanted to was go to bed. I've been so tired and I'm not really sure why. I managed to get up and get to class with time to spare. We took a midterm quiz so I knew I had to be there. After class I met up with Krystle and we had our annual date which was nice. Too bad it only lasted an hour due to another class... In my second class we just watched our midterm performances and talked about what to work on for our final. I had News 7, just like any other Wednesday and I managed to find an interesting story about FEED, a Vermont program that enhances farm-agriculture of VT into the local schools (cafeterias) ect. It increases knowledge to children about how to make healthy foods and better yet how to enjoy them. The woman that I interviewed was super sweet and we talked for a really long time. I couldn't get the other contact in order fast enough so it was only a VO/SOT. That makes two VO/SOTS for the week and no packages :*( At least I had stories though! Now it's time to relax! I have fitness for hoops bright and early again this week, but whatever... I'll nap in the afternoon :*)

Busy Busy Little Bee

Last night Krystle came over and watched the new TWO episodes of The Hills... Yes, they surprised us with an extra new episode I was super excited. After all the drama and suspense for next weeks episode, I headed to bed. I had to get up for 8 am class on a dreary, rainy day... BOOO. I wanted to sleep the whole day away, but I managed to get up and go to all my classes. I did a bunch of errands in between classes earlier in the afternoon. I knew I was in a for a long evening. After Painting I hung around school to take two of the tests in order to graduate. It's horrible, I am awful at test taking. I love to worry about it and become anxious, then I start to over think questions and that doesn't help me at all. And lastly, one of the tests was on Quantitative thinking... graphs, numbers, math... I hadn't dealt with any of that since high school. I tested out of half the math when I came to school so I took one class freshman year and never looked back. It's fine though, I can take them as many times as they hold them until next may. I think I may take them again this Thursday just to see how I do. But for now, Im done doing work for the day... I'm going to eat some din din and wait for the Sox to play... Chaaaa

Beach Party and then Snow?

So this past weekend was a lot of fun! I went out for the day with Krystle and then some of the girls came over later that night. It was nice to have them all over and get a few good laughs in. Sunday I spent most of the day lounging and went on a hike with Jesse through the woods behind the hospital. Overall it was a nice, relaxing weekend. Then I woke up this morning and thought the morning just came too soon. It was cold and gray out but I didn't picture it to be a day that brings a snow storm! It was the first time that the snow has stuck to the ground and made difficult driving conditions in a while. We decided to go around and see if there were any cars off the road to talk about the weather. Instead we got a call telling us to go to a fire in Danville. I was terrified, I've never been life, let a lone to a fire. I was scared for the people that they may be hurt or something. But, when we got there we found out it was a chimney fire and it was out. I was thankful that nothing harmed the house or the family in it. After we got back I wrote the story and shortly after left. I came home and decided I needed to get my Sports psychology paper and watch General Hospital. Now that I've got that done it's time to relax....

I saw the sun, but not for real.

When I woke up the outside world was covered with a blanket of snow, and instead of getting out of bed I just wanted to crawl back in and pretend it was Saturday. But, I managed to get up and get myself dressed and ready to go and was only five minutes late for class. We were doing arts and crafts so it was a very enjoyable class. Afterward I went to the lab and checked some emails and surfed around for an hour or so before my next class where we talked about our homework assignment. When that wrapped up I headed to News 7 and was excited to do my story on Reiki and due to photographer limitation I went out with Scott, who also had a story in St Johnsbury. We headed to his poetry reading and that went well. Turns out Sheryl Crow found his poetry in a book store and called him up asking if she could use part of his poem for her song "All I want to do." I found that very interesting because I love Sheryl Crow's music. After that we headed over to my story which, BUMMER DUDE, got rescheduled because the location wasn't big enough to do what she wanted with the story. So, a misunderstanding led me to an even better story when schedules match. Even though I didn't have anything for today, I got to go out on a story and set up a better one for a few weeks from now. Despite the snow and over cloudy skies I decided I needed some sun in my life, so I settled for artificial sun and went to the tanning salon... Now i'm happy, warm and not to mention bronzed... Life is good.

Guitar Hero has Taken Over my Life

So after playing guitar hero for the majority of the night I headed to bed knowing I had to wake up semi early. When I got up around 7:45 I took a shower and got myself ready for the day. I headed to my classes and they both went really well and I enjoyed both of them. After class I came home really quick to eat some lunch and head back to News 7 because I had an interview at 2. Today I headed to the Rural Community Transportation Inc. to talk about whether more people were using public transportation due to increasing gas prices. It wound up going reall well, the man we spoke with was amazing and I wound up getting two really got SOTs and made a package out of it. After News 7 I headed to the gym to work out with Longley. This week has been so tough with work out routines... UGH... But hey, what doesn't kill us makes us stronger! Now I'm going to enjoy a nice pizza, home made just for me :*)

BleedeeBloooo

Today I headed to school with a plan at what I was going to do for the entire day. Although that may seem awesome, it's not always amazing! I went to my morning classes and when I got out of those I had to go through the research I found on Women in Shakespeares play and write a 2-3 page paper when I got home from my day at 3. After doing that for about an hour I headed up to VIC to meet Meghan so we could finish our project for Melissa's performance class. We did in no time at all and it was cute. We did a piece as if it was a today show type ordeal and it was funny, but we did work on technique and such, a good colaboration. Afterward I went to painting and did some masterful work as always. Then I headed home and completed my paper that I dreaded to do and put off for the last possible night! Oh well, tomorrow will be filled with classes and News 7 so for right now I'm going to enjoy the rest of my evening watching Dancing With the Stars and playing guitar hero.

Wally World

So today started off sort of crazy. I went to class and found out that it was cancled because our teacher was sick. Well, if that class was cancled then my next one definitely was too becuase it was the same teacher! So, I used the time before News 7 to try and find a story as well as do some research for my paper due Wednesday because I didn't have much time to do so when I was enjoying the time I had with my family over the weekend. After I did my research and made some calls I headed to News 7 an hour early to persue the leads I had found. Unfortunately no one could talk/meet today and once again I had nothing for News 7. It's starting to become depressing and making me feel like a failure. But at the same time it's motivating me to do better and I found about six different stories to call on this week and next. Hoepfully they all work out and I can get some good packages before break. After News 7 I went and worked out with Longley for TWO hours count 'em TWO. I was so proud of myself/shocked it was amazing. When I got home Jesse was ready and waiting to head to Littleton so we could go to Walley World (Walmart) and 99 for din din. I was so excited to have some really good food (my fav. French Onion Soup) and Jesse was really excited to go to Walmart and buy guitar hero. I was okay with it because he got me Across the Universe too!! So now I have to totally awesome things to watch/play! I think I hear guitar hero right now, I better go catch up...

Back to Life, Back to Reality

Well, I'm back in Vermont and I have mixed feelings about it. I went to lunch around noon with my parents for Easter. My Grams didn't want to go because she wasn't feeling well. When I got home I packed up and waited to see if I would catch Mike, Aimee, and the boys before I left... unfortunately that didn't happen. I left around 4:15 and made the three hour journey back. It was funny because around Concord area I noticed someone who was driving literally next to me for about 3 minutes. I got semi-creeped out and switched lanes. Then I got a call from Paul saying it was him and he had seen me once we got over the NH border! I called him back and explained why I was so sketchy and we proceeded to play leap frog the entire way. It definitely made the ride more interesting for me. Randomly when I got into Vermont three deer ran across the highway and thankfully no one was that close that I could break for them... I don't know what I would have done if I hit one!! I would have felt so bad! But, all was well and I made it through the last leg of the journey safe and sound, got everything in the house, unpacked and got ready for the morning. I can't wait to style my new threads... Chaaa. I'm wicked excited about it. Now I just need to find a story to make get my clothes some use... I think I'll take a peek right now!

Shopping? I think so.

Today my Mom and I decided to venture off on a hunt for News 7 apparel. We stayed close today and went to the South Shore Plaza across town to hit Forever 21, Victoria Secret, Express, and Hollister. I had gift certificates for both Hollister and Forever 21. I used the Forever 21 gift certificate on a few cute shirts and saved the Hollister one because nothing really jumped out at me. My Mom had a coupon for Victoria Secret so I got $10 off these wicked cute capris... pajamas? pssshh there so going to be an everyday basic apparel for me. Express at the plaza was unsuccessful so after we ate some Chinese with Dad we headed back out and went to Derby St. which is a cute out door mall that grew from two stores to twenty some odd. SUCCESS. I finally found pants that fit and a couple shirts, so I'm slowly building a wonderful wardrobe for News 7. After we stopped to get some Milk and Easter cards for my adorbale babies who I got to see earlier today! Inbetween errands we stopped in for about an hour or so and hung out with Mike, Christian and Lil' Brady. I almost ate Christian right up, he's my little man and it's been forever since I've seen him!! It's nice to be home and see my Little guys, and my brothers and of course my Parents and Grams. I hope I get to see the little guys after brunch tomorrow!! Now I'm off to hunt of UGG cleaner... My boots have taken a beating in the VT snow/salt/mud combo. Yuck!

Long Day

I woke up this morning thinking I was going to have the longest day ever... It wound up being long, but not nearly as bad as I assumed. Originally I was going to go to my two classes and then News 7 until five but I got out early, not necessarily a good thing but I was okay with it. I got to leave for home earlier and get a head start on Boston traffic and the dark. I loathe driving at night, my eye sight is horrendous so luckily I got home around 5:15 despite a bit of traffic. But I'd handle a bit over a lot, once I sat in traffic for three hours trying to get home on a Friday night. I think since it was good Friday and a lot of schools/businesses had the day off I lucked out. Once I got home and said hi to my parents and my Gram my Mom and I went to buy some birthday presents for what seems like everyone in my families birthdays that I missed. Well, it was just Mike and Aimee, I still have to get my mom and actual present, although she loved her delectible brownie/cake. Tomorrow I'm going out with my Mom for most of the day and then over to my brother's so I can see my two little guys. I can't wait to see Christian, I haven't seen him since Christmas and he's the apple of my eye for sure! But, seeing as how this has been the longest day ever, I'm going to hit the hay.

Home Tomorrow!!

So I got through the day knowing that I am going home tomororw! I've been stressing out about everything so it'll be nice to get away and see my family! However, I alleviated some stress when I went out with my Tv 2 partner and our photographer to get some of our project done that's due next week. My class this morning was cancled on account of the gloominess the day brought. It's hard to have a discussion when everyone is in a bad mood. So I hit the gym earlier than normal and did the bike for a bit, since today is not a training day. When I got home for lunch Jesse and I headed to the White's Market to grab something to make and I also picked up some things to make my Mom some delectible brownies. I disguised the brownies with frosting and wrote "Happy Birthday Mom" so she thinks it's a cake. I don't have proper cake pans, but at least the brownies look pretty! The first thing I want to do when I get home is see my nephews! Too bad we have school tomorrow and I can't leave until 6:30 ish. BOO. I haven't been home since Christmas because of basketball so it'll be nice to be home. For now I'm just going to relax and watch my soaps...

Hump Day

Today was a surprisingly short day. I awoke to a random winter storm. The day before the first day of Spring and we can't even see the grass yet! Either way I made it out the door to my classes. Unfortunately all I could think about was how my interview with the maple sugar maker would be cancled due to the weather. I was pretty upset because it's sweeps week and I didn't have a story anymore. After a few hours and knowing that the show was already filled anyway I was sent home early. Instead of going home right after I went to the gym to see if I could work out earlier. Thankfully my trainer was working out then too so I could finish early. I got home around quarter to five and decided to hang out I had to email my homework for tomorrow, but now i'm in the clear! Time to relax...

Sick in the NEK

I went over to Punky's for her birthday on Sunday and had a really fun time. It was nice to have everyone together and having fun. However, I woke up and was deathly ill. I wasn't sure if it was from being out or just from contracting this flu-like illness that everyone and their uncle has. Since I'm still sick I believe I've caught the bug... BOOO. I'm not happy about it in the least bit. I hope I'm over it soon, I have two more days of sweeps week and long long days to get through until I can go home. For right now I'm just making it through my classes and coming home to sleep! I had three classes today and throughout them I was continuously hot and cold and just felt weak. I'm also a huge baby when it comes to sickness, I'm used to people taking care of me and babying me when I'm sick and up here I don't have too much of that, unforunately. I'm just going to relax, do some research for my paper and wait for some din din :*)

Sunday, March 16, 2008

Wish it were Sunday, Cause that's my FUN day.

Today I woke up and immediately remembered my plays that needed to be read. So I did some cleaning and sat down and got myself motivated. I read all of The Tempest and almost all of Raisin in the Sun. If I do say so myself I was extremely proud of myself. After I read and Jesse got back from his meeting we ventered to the Green Mountain Mall.. Although it shouldn't be called a mall because there's like three stores. Anywho, I was trying to find something suitably green for news 7 tomorrow. Not too much to choose from so I just got a green tank top. Afterward we went to Hi Boy and got some wings and a blooming onion. A blooming onion is an interesting form of an onion ring, who would have known? This was the first time I'd ever had one. Here I sit awaiting Punk's birthday bash... Ugh, I wish it were now, Drumline can only be watched so many times on TNT in one weekend.

Starting the Weekend off Nice

When I woke up this morning I wanted to do something. I just had this urge to get out of the house and be productive. Too bad I was feeling productive enough to read one of my plays! Anywho, I cleaned the house up a bit, did the dishes from last night and waited for Jesse to wake up so we could find out what we were going to do, since I was on a mission. Finally, after some pancakes, we decided to go Geocashing, which I mistakenly thought was called Geocatching, I was sadly corrected. We found 2-4, but one we found the location but not the Geocash itself. I'd explain what a Geocash is, but I don't even really know. Once we did that we came home for a bit and lounged, I made some oat meal cookie pies to bring a few to Punkys for her birthday. Afterward the urge to be out of the house set in again so I went to find some Irish Treasures for St Pattys Day. I wish I could say what but for surprise purposes they have to be left out of the blog. I'm landed for the day, the urge is gone, or has been satisified whichever the case may be and I'm ready for dinner and a good movie :*)

I Wish TGIF Was Still On

I was sitting and thinking that I wish TGIF was still on Friday nights. I mean I have Ghostwhisperer but Boy Meets World, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Step by Step, they're all classics! Unfortunately I didn't sit around all day to contimplate that, just the past few minutes when I turned on the TV. I went to classes today and I have to read two plays this weekend and do active reading, which means I have to make character charts, descriptions, etc. I guess it could be a good time. Afterward I went to News 7 with intentions of doing a story which I had made some calls for. However, I never got a call back so I continued to find ideas and call on them and unfortunately for me no one was interested or they fell through. Thankfully on about my sixth story idea I found some people who would talk to me and because of footage I had to write my blurbs very short and throw in a stand up. I think I had fat arms in my stand up and I'm a little concerned... Good thing I went and worked out with my special little trainer! I got a good work out with my back, arms and shoulders. I also did some work on the bike just for a bit of cardio. Here I am, wanting pizza... Way to ruin a work out right? TOOO BADDD it's my favorite food in the entire world. So much so that my family called me Pizza the Hut for a little (Spaceballs reference). OH well... Here I go to the House of Pizza WOOT WOOT

Spring Cleaning

I had two classes today and they were both pretty fast. I got out of my first class after a half hour so I was productive and went to the gym, only cardio today, no weights that's tomorrow. After I went to the gym I came home, showered, and made some lunch. After a couple episodes of Home Improvement I headed to painting. Unfortunately today I didn't have anything amazingly awesome to paint from so I put some sky on a canvas, hated it, wiped it clean and called it a day. When I came home I decided I desperately needed to clean my house... UGH what a mess. I think I was allergic to it because of all the dust bunnies investing it. I cleaned everything top to bottom for about two hours then called my Mom to say Happy Birthday! I had sent her a card a couple days ago she got today, ironically when I was on the phone with her... She loved it p.s. I am so jealous her and my dad are going to the Ale House though... Just a couple more months and I can go for my 21st though, SCANDALOUS! Jesse and I took a snow mobile ride when I got off the phone with my Momski. It was fun, I'd never been before and I gunned it around for a bit... Now I'm starving though... Din Din's calling.

Seriously, MORE SNOW?

So I woke up this morning like every other morning, got myself ready and as I'm heading out the door I see something falling from the sky... SNOW? For real? It's been so nice these past couple days the idea of snow makes me want to find this Mother Nature and throw rocks at her. It's not fair... I want Spring... Sunshine, Warmth, Outdoor adventures, and instead I'm watching snow flakes. GRRR...
I went to school semi-bitter but my first class totally snapped me out of that. We had to do skits with minimal dialogue and mine and my partners was AMAZING... I got to be a creep show and it's fun to act out in front of a class of people you don't' even know. Who knows, maybe in their eyes I am a creep show. My next class flew by and I made my way to News 7. I didn't have a set in stone story, but I got an email about BINGO down at the Darling Inn Meal Site and it wound up being so cute. The people there were so nice and loved the game of BINGO... SO much one woman had a purse with BINGO everything all over it, INSANE. After News 7 I went to work out with my super studly trainer... I guess I laugh too much, but it's one of my good friends, so who wouldn't laugh? Whatever, as long as I'm getting in shape and he's getting good experience for his major it's all worth it. I worked a bit of arms, core and then did some bike work. I feel awesome now, but I can imagine I'll be sore tomorrow... EEK...

Sweet Day

I woke up and went to my 8 am class earlier than normal so I could finish some questions on town reports. Once class started I found myself into the Internet more than class... It happens but it's fine. After that I went to my script writing class and we were re-writing nursery rhymes and fairy tales. It was a lot of fun and the class really got into it. Then I came home and some salad and such for lunch with Jesse as we watched Home Improvement... An amazingly awesome show if I do say so myself. When I went to painting we found out we didn't have class we just had to turn in our paintings. I then went for a run and enjoyed the fabulous weather once I did that I took a very long nap! It's been a very relaxing day considering the day I'll have tomorrow. Classes, News 7 then working out with one of my athletic trainer buddy boys. I think I'll enjoy the rest of my nice, easy, relaxing day.

I have a case of the Mondays

I felt really ill today and it made my day even worse. I went to my classes and News 7 and the story board was already filled out by 10am so we sort of sat around, making contacts and such. I found a story that looks really interesting to do. It's a story on sugaring... Oh Vermont and you're maple sugar gold mine. I still have to call and set up the interview but I did some research. I am laying around right now watching the OC.. I'm so tired and feeling sickly so I'm just relaxing and taking it easy. The flu and mono are apparently floating around, I just hope those gray clouds aren't set over me. BLAH...

What a Weekend

This weekend was funfilled. Jesse went away for the weekend so I went to Caitlin's surprise birthday party for a bit on Friday and came back to watch some movies with Sara and Andy. Jen swung by a little later and hung out for a bit. We decided that we would take a road trip the next day to Concord to see a friend that came here freshman year. Sara, Jen and I headed out and made it safely, despite the crazy weather. We got panera for lunch so I was super excited about that. We also met some new friends and had a really good time. Now i'm just relaxing and watching the first season of the OC on DVD... I may do some homework later, but I haven't really decided :*P

The Day Before Friday

So I headed off to school today as a grub-a-muffin. I mean, I showered, I didn't go to school like Pig Pen, just a step above. The sad thing was, I got to school and the class I had gotten out of bed for was cancled... GRRR... I wish I could have slept in hardcore, but that's fine. So, I made my way to the North East Sports Net home to do some sales work. I stayed there for about two hours and made two sales, which isn't as bad as it sounds. From there I went to painting class and made a masterpiece if I do say so I am. Afterward I headed home to do some work... I procrastinated that by taking advantage of the nice weather and going for a run. I felt really good about it and when I got home it motivated me to do some more work. I got my paper done and decided it was play time! I called Krystle and we're about to enjoy some buffalo chx pizza, AMAZING. We're awaiting Marissa and Jess... I hope they come before we eat it all....

Winter Blues

So, I'm not going to lie... I'm so tired of winter. I most definitely have the winter blues! In fact, I did a News 7 story on it! I woke up today, thinking that there would be a school delay because of this BIG ice storm, which wasn't even that bad, and there was. I very slowly got out of bed and into my morning routine. I was in such a pleasant slumber, it was almost tragic to get out of it. Either way, I made it to my 9 o'clock class which brought very exciting news! We're going to actually perform the plays we're writing. I'm nervous, excited and almost embarrassed at how bad and uncreative my play is compared to the others in my class! It's fine though, I'll get over it... Somehow. After class I went to the lab and did an annual facebook sesh with none other than K-Sauce. That's our hour to laugh and giggle at new bumper stickers, photos, etc. I know, we're dorks, and somewhat facebook warriors.. But I'm okay with that, because it's the only time I'm on it, and it only occurs three times a week! I know, still lame.. But moving on... Next I went to performance and I was told I did a very nice job and then asked to go into the closet and yell to the class to make me louder... Honestly, I've never been told I was a quiet girl unless it was in front of people talking. After that I went to news 7... I didn't have a prepared story for today (whoops) so I decided I would be productive, find one and go out and do it! I decided since I loathed the snow right about now and am desperately awaiting spring that finding some new activities for people to escape the realm of never ending winter we've ventured to could make for an interesting piece. From there I looked up businesses in which I thought would be good interviews. I went to the scrap booking store and the green mountain book store... both run by two very nice women. It turned out to be a good story, but it won't air until tomorrow. Now I'm home, chatting it up to my blog... procrastinating the other half of my homework................................................. just kidding, I'm on it.....

Town Meeting Day

I woke up this morning and realized... It's town meeting day! This just meant I couldn't sleep in like I wanted to, because I had to be at the station at 8:00 am. It was crazy busy in the station, all hands were on deck and everyone had a town to attend. Honestly I had no idea what to expect. I had never been to a town meeting before and wasn't quite sure how they worked. It was like I went into a time machine and traveled back to the 1800s where people voted by saying "I" and "Nay." They used a ballat for some votes and a hand raising for others, it was like something i'd never seen before and it was so interesting. I wish I could say that wasn't all that was interesting about it! It was pretty long and drawn out for me. When we were going to leave my designated town I found that my car was stuck in the icy snow! It was terrible, I didn't know how I was going to get out. Thanks to two of the nicest people I've ever met, I was pushed out of that dilemma and on my way back to the station. When I got back I was overwhelmed by the number of people trying to do stuff. Luckily I got right on a computer and typed up my story, grabbed a editor and got my entire piece busted out in about an hour. When I got home from my day, Jesse and I decided to go play racquet ball and grocery shopping. We're just about to eat dinner, tacos... mmmmm....

School? SAY WHAT?

So yesterday was another day filled with traveling, grumpiness and a lot of long faces. We all dreaded the idea of leaving OK and starting school the next day... Not that we don't love school, but we knew we were in for a few long days. I got home and did some laundry and unpacking then made sure I was ready for school! I woke up and honestly, I wanted to crawl right back into bed and sleep for the entire day. Unfortunately I had to go to class and News 7. Once I got to school I was fine, just groggy still. I went out to find a chimney fire in Sutton today, but we couldn't find/make it. So we went and got a weather and a credit for the show, I must say our mountain landscape with the snow covered trees was pretty amazing. EPIC. After News 7 I ran some errands and now I must grocery shop, there's absolutely nothing to eat in the apt. GRRRR. I'm hungry...

Last Day In OK

So today was relaxing and amazing! We woke up around 12... 1 o'clock back home. From there we had a team meeting and decided that we wanted to go to team dinner/lunch at Hooters! Bringing back freshman year when we all went to the Hooters in Clearwater, FL. We bought shirts and mugs and had a team picture infront of the sign. Afterward some of us went shopping and browsed in some neat stores! Some people got some things, I refrained because I didn't want to try to save as much money as possible. From there we came back to the hotel, changed into our Hooters gear and headed to the gym to watch the games. We rooted for Concordia and they ended up winning! Once we started cheering the game got more intense and became more interesting! The boys game was really good, we cheered for Oakwood... They came and cheered us on our first game so we thought it would be nice to support them because they were so sweet to us ;*)
Now we're back at the hotel and jsut hanging out for our last night... I'm super excited! I love that everyone is together and getting along... FAMILY!! Much Love...

WE WON!!!

So today we went to the zoo today! We all had a great time and I took tons of pictures... Every place we go is like a photo oppertunity. We're a very photo-loving team! After the zoo everyone came back and took naps... We're also a very old team we need to rest our joints before we get going! Afterward we awoke we started showers and got ourselves ready for the game. I wasn't feeling well so my Mom and Dad took a fun filled trip to Walmart and got me some Robitussin that was duel cold and allergy. I felt better once I took it and I was ready to go. Intense and fired up... You know how it goes. We got everyone ready to go! We came out fired up, pressing and running like crazy. We got a decent lead at half time but due to some swaying calls the game got closer and closer. It was very frustrating to see the game slip away and mostly due to the officiating. Either way, we pulled it together and made a win! So, we may not of taken the title, but we took the consolation title!! Whatever, we win, we rule, and I'm super excited! So excited that Jess, Eliazbeth, Marissa and I are munching on nachos and watching TV!

Bummer Dude

Today was a good day. We got up and made our way to breakfast before practice. Practice was light and somewhat fun! We kicked around, napped and nibbled on some food until our game at 4pm. We played alright but we just couldn't pick it up enough to pull ahead. It was okay though, you live and you learn, you can't hold a grudge forever right? Tomorrow's a new day and we'll see where it takes us. We play at 6 o'clock against SMCC... Not too far from home. Cool that the past two years we go to OK we wind up playing someone in our regular season games. So now we're just sitting around watching TV and sitting around. I can't wait til tomorrow, I want to kick some toosh... OR ELSE!!

Our First Full Day in OK

We had our first day in OK today. Jess, Elizabeth and I slept in and enjoyed our morning then wandered around the hotel to other teammates rooms. We went and grabbed some lunch at Quiznos and some snacks for the hotel at Walmart. We enjoyed the wandering around and making new friends. Elizabeth met a announcer for our games at Quiznos and I met a boy from Rehema Bible who said he'd come and watch tomorrow, he better show up or I'll be slightly disappointed! We went to the competitions and found out we could only have once competitor for the events, but the boys got two... I wasn't too happy about it. Elizabeth wanted me to shoot threes out of the two of us, but I secretly wish she picked herself because I only made six... UGH. Whit won though so it was awesome! We took home one event :*)
After the competitions we came back and got all dolled up and made our way to the banquet, beautifully I might add. We had a photo shoot and sat quietly and ate... bahaha
Jen took home two awards and Whit had one and then got a sweatshirt for being an amazing foul shooter!! Love my teammates.

When we waited for Vinnie, Elizabeth and I decided to take candid photos and we definitely had a blast doing so. The pictures are very interesting, but they make us laugh. We're having a blast down here and I can't wait to kick some tooshie tomorrow!! Boo Ya Grandma...

We FINALLY Made it

Today was probably one of the longest days of traveling I have ever done. YUCK! We left Vermont around 10 am to head to Connecticut to fly out of Hartford. Our flight left around 3:30 and we were in the air and on our way to Missouri. Mind you, I loathe the idea of flying, it's one of my two biggest fears (the other being snakes). So, needless to say when turbulance woke me up from a sound sleep and the plane was dropping some odd feet the panic and anxiety set in and I think my knuckles turned white from squeezing the arm rests for dear life. I had wished the flyinf part of the trip would be finished there but lucky for me we had to take off again for an hour or turbulance and rockiness until our final decent into OK. When we got the there, we gathered our luggage and headed for the rental cars so we could sit for what felt like an eternity as we waited for Vinnie to straighten out the loss of Dave's luggage by the airline... UGH! The day was forever long, and here it is close to 1:30 am and I still haven't gotten into my comfy bed to slumber for the night. Most of the team decided to go to Sonic for a late night lets feel as fat and gross as humanly possible trip, and boy, let me tell you! I feel deathly ill. I think I'm going to climb into bed and decide that Sonic and fast food are officially out of my life forever... PUKE!
Belly ache and bed... :*(
Tomorrow holds the competitions and the banquet... Punk and I will pitch in trying to shoot threes and Marissa and Whit will be knocking down foul shots! Wish us luck!!

One more Dayyy!!

One more day until we leave for Oklahoma! The team is excited and we all were frantically packing and making sure we had everything today. We had practice at 12, I was woken up early by some ruckus outside, so I just decided to make use of my time and do some homework so I wouldn't have to do it over break. I got a lot done, now I just have to read a chapter from my script works book and I'm golden. Hopefully I can do that on the plane at least one of the ways. It may be hard to put down my Donnie Darko book though. A friend lent me a book about Donnie Darko, it's almost an in depth look at the movie. Seeing as how it's my favorite movie of all time there's a reason why I'm going to be obsessed with it. I do have a fear of flying so that should be interesting but I'm hoping all goes well. The team went out to lunch with Doc after practice. It was scrumdidillyumcious! He even got us a cake, it was really nice and super generous of him. I just can't wait to get down there and compete!!! I guess first I have to relax, pack and get a good night sleep...

Shop 'til You Drop

Today was amazingly awesome! I headed down to Manchester with Krystle and Elizabeth to shop and meet up with my Mom and Dad and get somethings for Oklahoma. I wound up spending more money than I wanted to but it was well worth it! It felt great to be out and about and doing something that is out of an everyday routine. We left around 11 and got back at 9pm-ish. It was a LONG day, but so much fun. I wound up getting somethings from Old Navy and Victoria Secret, unfortunately I made a purchase at Forever 21 and decided I didn't like it, and get this, they don't give you your money back! They gave me a store credit... BOOO. Now I don't know what to do, I guess either get to save it until I go home or browse online. I was also thrilled that I got my Panera fixing, which wound up being interesting since we ran into two girls from the NHTI team. They were surprised to see us...
Anyway, I need to write a play, complete with Diaolgue and Stage Directions... WOoo... Some much to do before I go away!!

Just a few more days...

Today was a pretty good day. I only had two classes because the Friday before a break there is never any News 7. I was very upset with all the work I got over break though. I mean come on, who give tons of work!? Now I'm stressing because I'm going to be in Oklahoma Monday-Sunday and have classes that Monday with barely anytime to do any homework! GRRRRR... So much for a fun relaxing time in OK. Oh well, I'll find a way to juggle it. Tonight we made a group decision to cancel practice and head to Kelly's parents house for a team dinner. Her house was gorgeous and her Mom and Dad were so nice for having us. Not to mention the food was amazing! The roads were pretty bad going there but not too bad on the way back. I had a little bit of slippage heading back from Punky's house where my car was but nothing to serious. I'm so excited for tomorrow though. We have practice from 8-10 am and then a few of us are heading to Manchester and going shopping. Also we're going to meet up with my parents and grab a suitcase and some other things for the trip! We're going to go dress shopping for the banquet and hopefully get some other goodies! I'm thrilled to get out and shopping!!

It's Still Not Friday?! UGH

So, toward the end of the boys game last night, Elizabeth and I decided we were incredibly hungry and scampered out of there with about six minutes left with intentions of seeing the rest of the team later on. Unfortunately we weren't thinking ahead, drrrr, weekday in Lyndonville nothing is open past 9! So, we headed into White's Market super speedy and grabbed some bagel bites to cook at her house. It wound up being a small gathering but those that did come had a good time. I made my way home at the wee hours of the morning seeing as how the games got over so late. I managed to wake up for class and wasn't feeling too tired. But I kept having this funny feeling that it was Friday and I could't shake it. To me, that's one of the worst feelings in the world, convincing yourself it's another day of the week and questioning whether you've fallen completely out of touch with reality. My day was tormented by the idea of it being Friday. Although, it was very pleasing to get my scholarship money today along with another check from the school!! WOOOO... I was getting down to the nitty gritty before then. So, being the nice girl that I am I called Jesse and offered to take him to lunch... Too bad I didn't get what I really wanted, the 99. I know it's in Littleton, and I know it's a 20 min. drive, but it's the closest to home I can get, not to mention it's completely amazing. The food is scrumdidilyumpcious! I'm hoping he realized how dead serious I am about going their for dinner because I'm already getting hungry and all I can think about is French Onion soup and a Gold Fever Wrap (instead of HBQ). Ugh, now I'm even more hungry!! Oh well, no basketball tonight and after tomorrow no school for a week. I'd be lying if I told you I wasn't thrilled for it. Even though we'll be in OK and I won't have a week off persay, It'll be a week away from the weather, classes, and everything else! Super stoked. On that note, I'm going to make the time until I go to the 99 pass me by quicker and nap!!

I'm Pretty Sure I'm Cursed

The Wetzel curse has once again swept down and made this week impossible to get through. With break just inches away and Oklahoma calling my name I'm finding it very hard to cope with the ups and downs of this week. Yesterday, along with being the longest day of my life, was miserable. I had my morning classes, trucked to News 7, then straight to basketball. I was literally at school from 7:45 am-8:15 pm. I thought it would never end. Not to mention I couldn't find a suitable story so I once agian stared at the wall, I'm becoming quite good at it now. I thought today would be a better day. Relaxing, not as much to worry about and a definite scrub-a-muffin day... Sweats to the max and hair whichever way it wanted to go. Unfortunately for me that didn't happen. I went to my two morning classes... My 8 a.m. was a complete snoozer and I was just dying for it to be over. My next class was a more tolerable class, probably because I enjoy it, and I love this teachers methods. She's amazing, very hands on, let your hair down kind of class where you can participate and actually enjoy what you're doing. There's not too many of those you'll come across. After class I ran some errands, bank, returned bottles, got a hair cut, the works. I got home and did my painting homework, which struck me as odd because my H2O soluble paints weren't really accepting water... or coming off. So, I ruined a bowl that I was using for water and a small pallette my mom got me for mixing. Luckily the pallette can be ruused seeing as how it's paint and mixing paint over it won't affect the pallette, however I'm not sure oil paints would mix so well with food. However, I didn't realize this until I got to class. Needless to say I was pretty upset. I had had these paints for two weeks now and thought I was in the clear. My dad ordered them online and sent them right to the school. Awesome, now I have no means of returning them and had to drop another $61 for more paints and overnight, super ridiculously fast shipping. GREAT. Just what a broke college student needs... All I want to do now is curl in a ball and sleep.... In fact, maybe I will. Only until 8 thought because we have practice at 8:45... Peachy keen... And another "Monday-esque" day tomorrow... Only NHTI not practice, and seeing as how we lost to them for the first time in two seasons this past game we have to smoke them and show them it was a fluke last time... Muhahahaha ;*)

Sunday and Gray

The weather is pretty dreary today and it's making me very sleepy. I didn't want to get out of bed today. I headed up to school around 10:30 to start making some calls for a story I'd hoped to be working on. Unfortunately for me it was Sunday and not too many people are around or open on Sundays, especially in Lyndonville. Thankfully a fellow News 7-er gave me a jingle and lead me to a derailed train in East Burke. On the way their my photog and I were talking about what we were going to expect. I think what we wound up seeing was far from what both of us had imagined. It was a snow plow locamotive which was traveling from Newport VT to Wells River cleaning off the tracks for other trains to pass through. We met some interesting people at the scene. It was the first time I'd heard of a train enthusiast. There were people chasing the chain to take pictures of it as it passed through. I guess that could be a fun alternative to a TV filled Sunday morning. I was very thankful to receive that story, I was able to do my weekend duty in just a couple hours and do it well... Even though that meant I had to come home and do homework.. BOOOO. Oh well, everything's said and done and now I get to enjoy my day off and be lazy! Love it!

Weekend? Do They Exist?

Today was kind of a bad day. It started off good. Jesse and I got some breakfast than headed up to the gym for some pregrame games of HORSE. Unfortunately these games didn't work to my benefit like they did the last time we pay together. I wan't impress with my shooting today, but I guess everybody has a bad day. We wound up losing to Green Mountain, again. I just need to block this game out of my head and focus on playing NHTI this Wednesday. We need a bittersweet win, seeing as how their win this year was the first time they've beaten us in the last four games we've faced them. We need to win this just to prove that we deserve to be placed where we're placed in the USCAA rankings, especially since their journey their is up in the air. Tomorrow I have weekend duty for News 7 and I'm hoping to get an interview at the outting club and the cobleigh library about the Snowflake festival. I know the outting club is open i'm hoping the library is too so I can make a package out of it. As for right now, chinese food, college playoff basketball and hanging out!

Just One of Those Days

Today was just not my day, you'll have that but mine was just ridiculously bad. I went to class, well okay that was fine for the most part but afterward I popped into News 7 to see how their day was going. Well, their day wasn't going, the board was almost empty and my producer informed me that I needed to find a story and fast. So, I began calling around but no one seemed to want to meet with me, which you'll also have. I sat with my producer and we put our heads together and thought it would be a good idea to do a story on Northeast Sports Net since we both know and have filled in for Eric Berry before and I also have some pretty close affiliation with his employees. We got that all straightened out and also got an interview with Paul Wheeler the athletic director at Lyndon Insititute. My photog and I went place to place, added a stand up and some other doo dads. Unfortunately we weren't going to be back until 2 o'clock and I had News Break at 3. Another unfortunate event was that I wouldn't be back in time to right it, but I'd be back in time to perform it. UGH! Worst performance I have ever done in my entire life. It was as if I couldn't read. I felt so awful about myself it wasn't even funny. So, I finished up my package and left to go to practice as soon as I could. But for my remaining time at News 7 I wasn't to crawl under a rock. All I can hope is that next week is better. Today was the first time I frazzled myself to the point where I made too many mistakes to fix. I've never even bumbled over a word in my past ones. It really dropped my confidence. I just need to pick myself up and do better next Wednesday. Afterward I went to practice where I did alright but I just didn't feel like myself. I was tired, hungry (because I was so busy I didn't get to eat all day), and just wanted to go home. Now I'm home and all I want to do is watch a movie and eat. Thankfully Jesse got us Hoagies and I have something to look forward to. So, I'm going to eat and veg out,get to bed early so I'm ready for our big game tomorrow!!

Blah De Blah

Today was a weird day. We had a two hour delay from school so my first class was automatically c, but when I ancled, then I got to school I realized that my second class was cancled too. UGH! Not to mention I got stuck in my drive way before I even got to school. So, I was out there in dress pants shoveling my car out and my landlord and one of his associates at the store helped me get out. After I trucked up to Lyndon and went to find my class cancled I headed to News 7. I had an interview scheduled at one at NVRH which just so happens to be located on a Mt. Everest style hill in St Johnsbury. Ariana volunteered to stay later and go on my story with me because she had all wheel drive whereas I only have two. After we got our interview and B-roll we drove over to Pizza Hut and she bought the crew pizza and I bought us salad and some 2 Liters to go with it. I thought it was a very sweet thing for her to do since we were all in the same boat. Usually on bad weathered days we don't travel out on stories, but we did today and it was intense. School was finally cancled at around 4:30 pm which meant no show, no practice and a horrific drive home. Marissa and Ben offered me a ride home but I didn't want to leave my car but I thought it was a very nice gesture. Sweet cherubs :*P At least I'm home safe after some slipping and struggling on hills. Now I'm just relaxing and hoping schools cancled tomorrow :*) Just kidding of course....

Hang Tough

WOOOOOOOO. Yes, that's a woo, not only did we get our bid to Nationals but the school is sending us! I'm so excited, well not to go back to Oklahoma, but to go to the National tournament with a solid bench and the same elite eight that I love! I also talked to my parents and they're planning on flying out there and staying in the hotel with us so I'm excited for that as well. Other than that my day was so so. I had my 8am class today so we all know how that went... I was so tired I couldn't even win at solataire until after 9 o'clock. Not that I play games in class... Our teacher believes in multitasking because that's what you have to do in the News room so if you're able to be on the computer doing your thing and also retaining what he's saying. After that I went to the snack bar with Jen and grabbed a latte/capaccino, I actually don't know what form of caffine it is, I just know it's not coffee because I had to stop drinking coffee. Then I jetted to my theatre class and analyzed a play, which was fun. We broke it down, named the scenes and character development continues to progress. The rest of the day I did some errands and awaited painting and news of whether or not we were going to OK. Once I found out I was Jesse decided he wanted to do something productive and made me play racquet ball. Who plays racquet ball? I was doing really well once I got the hang of it, but of course once I did and was winning Jesse had to bust out all the fancy cheap shots.... Grrrr... this is why I neever play games with him. Oh well, time to relax and eat some dinner.... Maybe I'll do some homework :*O

It's Fricken Freezing Batman

I woke up today around 10:00 because my two classes this morning were cancled still, but they resume tomorrow (bummer dude). I got up, got ready and decided to get somethings done before News 7. I didn't have a story for today, which stunk because no one really got back to me on the stories I have leads into. But anyways, I went to the bank and Brooks... well Rite Aid, but I don't think I'll ever catch up with the change of name ordeal. Anyways, I needed to get some Valentine's Day things... I do buy into the Hallmark Holiday. It's sort of cutesy. Then I headed up to school and enjoyed staring at the wall for five hours. Just kidding. I made some calls for future stories and got a call back around 4:15 (I was out at 5 sooo BOOO) and set up an interview for Wednesday at 1. I just hope I'm back in time to do my News Break! Good afternoon, I'm Jackie Wetzel and here's a look at some of the stories we're working on for tonight at 5:30... Boo ya. Tomorrow should be an alright day once I get past my eight o'clock class... The first day in a week I'll be up before 9.... Ugh. Looks like i'm going to bed early and then napping from 11-1. Sahhhweeetttt... I'm going to catch up on some reading for Sports Psychology and watch the tubular. Hamburgers are being made for me as we speak... LOVE IT.

Chicka Chika YAAA

Today went well. Iwoke up this morning around 9:30, took a shower and went with Jesse to get some breakfast. Afterward we headed up to the school and ate and just relaxed a bit before the game. I beat him in horse twice, got taped and started focusing on the game. We played pretty well, I mean we're still having some trouble taking care of the ball (guilty) but we did a better job moving the ball around and hitting the open person. We missed a few bunnies, a few shots, but for the most part we were pretty accurate. It was an amazing win with our post season and trip to OK on the line. Last year when we went to OK we did really well with the numbers we had. We played very well, lost the first game in the last seconds by one, and the second game by two, then we beat NHTI. This year we should do really well if we get there with more people and more ability to run run run. I'm excited. My parents have already talked about going out there again and supporting the team and their amazing daughter :*P Just kidding. But seriously...
Well, tomorrow should be good, no practice, no classes just News 7. I'm not sure what's on the agenda for this evening. Hopefully some grocery shopping... we'll see.

ManchVegas

Today we traveled to Hesser College to take on the Blue Devils. It's in Manchester NH which is about an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes away from my home town. So, my Mom, Dad, and my brother Tom, who's up from North Carolina to go to my nephews christening, came up for the game. I wish I could have spent more time with them but they were anxious to get home and I needed to get food so it didn't work out. The boys game was interesting a lot of calls were missed and it turned almost violent. Unfortunately they couldn't pull it off... They came so close. When we left the game it was snowing. It was coming down pretty good. The beginning of our trip felt like we were going about two miles an hour. Then we get to Lyndonville and attempt the very top hill into the college and the bus gets stucked, so we all get off the bus and hike the hill. That was a slippery route! We made our way to our cars and took a different route down. I didn't have to much trouble getting home, just one little slide but not into anything or anyone thank goodness. When I got home I got my stuff ready for tomorrow and watched some TV. The rest of the night is relaxing... Big game tomorrow! Wish us Luck.

Tired, Oh So Tired

Yesterday we had a HUGE game against Plymouth State. Unfortunately we lost, but only by eight and personally I think we should have won. We put two halves together but a few mental lapses and turn overs prevented us from coming out on top. After the game I came home and watched TV and just relaxed. I was sore and tired and needed a good nights sleep. I got to sleep in until 9:15 today, which was amazing then I headed into News 7 early to get to an interview at NVRH in St Johnsbury. A weird thing happened on my interview though... I had to use the shot gun mic, because the lav (the mic that clips on to a shirt) was broken. Well, the person I was interviewing took the microphone from me, which I guess is a pretty big deal and I should have said something. The thought crossed my mind when it happened but I felt rude asking her for it back. It may have been a good laugh, or she may have gotten upset. Oh well, I learned a valuable lesson to know for future reference. After I got out of News 7 I went straight to practice. Practice today seemed very BLAH! Everyone was exhausted, sore and just not working as hard as we generally do. We have games both Saturday and Sunday this week, three games in the last four days. Monday should be a very fun day! Oh well, I'm excited for this weekend! Wish us luck tomorrow!
I'll let you know how it goes.

Big Snoozer

Today was definitely not my favorite day. I went to my first two classes and found out that our teacher (who I have for both) is going to be away in South Carolina for a work shop and the next three classes are cancled, which for me is six! So, I thought I was getting off to a good day. However, when I got to my shift for News 7 I found that the show was already locked in, which means the entire length of the show has been filled with stories. I found this incredible because no one had been allowed out all morning and when I got there a little after noon we were informed that no one was allowed to go out for the entire day. Perplexed we sat trying to figure out what to do with our time. Thankfully one of my good friends (we were roommates for the first two years of college) so we gossiped and had girl talk for a while. I was confused as to why they made us stay if we couldn't do anything. I guess we were supposed to be looking for stories and making contacts but with seven reporters and four computers that was a little tricky. I left around four thirty and made my way to the gym where I walked into practice apparently late? I guess I missed the memo there because I forgot my cell. Oh well, they hadn't really started when I got there they were still stretching. So, by the time I got my act together and ran my laps I was in on the second drill. I still got to practice the majority of the time. We ended practice around ten past six and I headed to my car where the windshield was covered in ice and my wind shield wiper broke, FANTASTIC. Ugh, I managed, driving home with half my window not being cleared but hey, you can't win them all. After I got home Jesse and I decided we were hungry, so I showered quickly while he put some laundry on then we headed down to White's Market. We finally decided to just get a Freshetta pizza, however we forgot drinks.... Grrrr.... Back to the store we went. We bought I.B.C. which is pretty much the best rootbeer and cream soda EVER. Now I'm just sitting on the couch, mildly sore as if my body is going to fall apart. It's fine, I'll just enjoy my rootbeer and wait for my pizza to cook! I got the latest In Touch and US Weekly to get me by :*)

Today Was Super Long

So I woke up around 7:00 to get ready for my 8 o'clock class. I was pretty tired for some reason and had a hard time paying attention. Once I got through that class I went to my theatre class. There we talked about the play we have been reading. I'd have to say I think this was the first play that I've actually been able to sit down, read, and enjoy. After that I went to the bank and came home to get ready for News break. I ate some lunch and drove back to school thinking I had class at 1:30 still. So, I headed to class and luckily I saw one of my pals on the way and she told me class had been cancled. Thank goodness! I didn't have to worry about rushing to News 7 afterward, asking to leave a few minutes early... It was almost perfect. It was such a relief I got to go back and finish writing the stories in and get all the makeup on without butchering it. I also got more time to practice my script. We had a couple blips today but overall I thought it went well. I came home and did some homework to get ahead through tomorrow so I could concentrate on the full day ahead of me. The team got together and hour before practice to game tape on Plymouth to prepare for tomorrow. If we can pull it off it'll be the only time in history that the Lady Hornets have beaten Plymouth State. We had a good practice, intense and everyone was tryinig 110% It was what we needed the day before a big game, hopefully it carriers over. But since I have such a long day I'm going to get some shut eye!
Wish us luck tomorrow!!

What a Weekend!

This weekend seemed like it flew by. Some many things were going on at once it was hard to keep track of everything happening around me. Entertaining at the same time as playing and being at games was quite the task. We had two very different games this weekend for basketball, Saturday's game got off to a horrible start, we got there late had like ten minutes to warm up, played uptight, and weren't looking good. And Sundays game we were ready to go, intense, playing with rhythm and we won. So, Sunday started off great until I watched the Superbowl... Seriously? The GIANTS... come on now. I couldn't believe it, I was astonished. I guess I'm still in disbelief because I am pretending I didn't see it. Overall the weekend was nice. I hadn't seen my guests in a while and it was nice to catch up. I went to classes today and was only midly tired. Went out on my story around 1:30. The interview went amazing, I got a lot of good information and I'm excited to do the story. However, when I went with my photographer to pack up the car I realized I didn't have my keys. I locked them in the car with my wallet and cell phone. Thankfully my photog had a phone and the place I was conducting my interview had a phone book and I called AAA. Silly thing to do, I know... Oh well, we got in the car eventually and came back to school. After I got home from News 7 I headed to Littleton to go to the 99 for dinner and Walmart for some house hold things for cleaning the mess we had made over the weekend. I also picked up a movie, like we do on every trip to Walmart, we chose The Departed this time. It hits close to home, and it's pretty cool when I know where they are and what streets their talking about. Infact, I'm going to watch it...
Until tomorrow.

Winter Storm Warning

Sorry I missed you yesterday, the Lady Hornets had a game at Green Moutain. A trip with out the boys. Unfortunately we lost. We didn't play our best the first half offensively and even though we pulled it around in the second half we couldn't make up the defecit. The bus trip back was long, but we made the most of it. A group of us decided to start songs and see how long we could harmonize them. I pulled out some specialties and my teammates had some good ones themselves. We didn't get back until midnight so I came home relaxed for about a half hour and caught some shut eye. Today didn't start off exactly how I wanted it to. I had a nitpicking fight about the bathroom and that set my day on a downward spiral. On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays I have class from 9:00 am to -9:55 and on Tuesdays and Thursdays I have class from 9:30 am to 10:50. In my defense I have the same teacher for three of my classes so I was bound to get confused sooner or later. Luckily I caught my teacher in her office and took the quiz that I was "late" for. Whoops. I had one other class before News 7. I was fairly upset today because I had to cancle my interview with a Reiki master due to weather and driving around, ect. Once the College closed I was out of News 7 at 1:30 pm and unable to go back for basketball. When school cancles all extracuriicular activities get cancled as well. Fortunately for me I have three house guests coming to stay the weekend and had zero time to clean... GRRR... So, I had to clean for those who wish to enter my realm. They're on their way from Maine, in this treacherous weather so I'll probably be in bed before they get here since we have to get on the bus at 8 am tomorrow morning. Now I need to help cook dinner... Meatball subs, a classical sub of deliciousness. Wish us luck tomorrow! Until then....

First of Many LONG Days

Well today was my first day with classes, News 7 and basketball all in a row. Consecutively I spent eleven hours at Lyndon State College today. As you can probably guess. I woke up at about 7:30 wishing I hadn't and could have enjoyed that extra fifteen minutes of sleep, however I was up. I organized my basketball things and packed them in my nap sack, took a shower, made sure I had all my things for school and headed out to my first class. At my first class we had to come up with a play and perform it with sounds, not words. It was fun and I enjoyed it. I had about an hour break an hour and went to the snackbar for a morning beverage. It was nice to have that hour or down time because that's when the day goes crazy. I had performance class at eleven and we read allowed working on projection, pronounciation, and being friends with our audiences. With that class came News 7, my interview got moved to Monday so I did some readers and dubbed an old news break to file to send to the personalities coach. Right from my shift at News 7 I went down to see Pete to have my ankle tapped. I keep rolling it and I figured better safe than sorry! After practicing and such I came home and here I am watching A Few Good Men. Wish us luck in our game tomorrow!
Until further results and tomorrow, goodnight!

Busy Little Hornet

Well, today was busy busy busy. Even though I don't have as long of a day on Tuesdays and Thursdays than I do on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays it was still rather insane! I woke up around 7 am took a shower and got ready for my 8 am class. Basically the class is to talk about our stories for the week, what's happening down in News 7 and how we can improve on common mistakes occurring throughout the week. Since we didn't have News 7 last week it was more double checking schedules making sure shifts were correct, and introducing the newbies to websites frequently used in the station. This semester we have oodles and oodles of reporters, this poses difficulty when trying to find stories and work out interviews because there aren't as many photographers & cameras to account for all of us! After class I hit the snack bar for a much needed coffee then made my way back upstairs for Contemporary Dram and Lit. Today was presentation day! We read our stories that we wrote for class, analyzed them, categorized them and basically related them directly to what we're going to be working on. Once class was over I had a two and a half hour break. Unfortunately for me this was not "down" time. I shot over the Small Mall (aka the Green Mountain Mall) and tried to find shoes that wouldn't hurt my knee and ankle as much (sometimes being an athlete makes you feel so old), I also needed to pick up a card to mail back home. After this I ran home grabbed somethings for my 1:30 class, shot the post office to get a four cent stamp (funny story, I mailed my Gram a birthday card with some left over $.37 stamps completely unaware the stamp had gone up to $.41... Whoops! Mom got a kick out of it when she called.) I got up to school early enough to get an article for Performance class tomorrow. I felt like a chicken with my head cut off, running from place to place panic stricken with time restraints. Last class of the day, Painting. Class was uneventful today, my excitement to dive in and learn to paint is itching so bad I can't pay attention to techniques we're learning to make us better painters. Maybe my passion to learn will just leap out of me and on to the canvas when I begin. Once 3 o'clock hit I was in the clear... Except for the pounds of homework and phone calls I needed to make to set up interviews for my up and coming stories. BLAH. Reading, writing, finding art supplies online I would have rather vegged out for a while. Good news is practice got changed to 8:15... Only 30 minutes earlier than before but it gets me out just that much earlier so I can come home, read some more and hit the hay for an EXTREMELY long day tomorrow!
But, I need to get some more things done before basketball! So until tomorrow...

And so it begins

I definitely had a case of the Mondays today. It all begin when I attempted to do a homework assignment before I left for my 9am class. I flipped through the channels to find a broadcaster that I could evaluate for their mannerisms, tonality and overall performance. Unfortunately I couldn't catch wind of a full desk report instead I caught a bit of the Today Show and watched an interview with Jessica Alba. It was an interesting interview that got me to lose the track of time! I ran late for my 9am and remembered that the homework I decided to get done before I left for the basketball games in Conneticuit this weekend was never emailed to myself or printed out at school, therefore I didn't have proof that I accomplished the assignment. Once I made it through that class I ventured to the snackbar, I was feigning for a caffine boost. After enjoying some coffee I headed to the small lab and got some homework done for online Sports Psychology before performance class. Performance class was pretty eventful, sharing our findings on a particular news persona, working on tongue twisters and delieverence. From there I went to my first news 7 shift of the semester! Things were crazy down there today with everyone trying to get their foot in the door. Unfortunately there weren't enough photographers for everyone to go on a story so I used the day to set up stories for later in the week and make some contacts for those stories. I think I have a story for Wednesday but I still need to make a couple calls. I don't want to jinx it though! It's late, and it's been a long day, so until tomorrow.
