Sunday and Gray

The weather is pretty dreary today and it's making me very sleepy. I didn't want to get out of bed today. I headed up to school around 10:30 to start making some calls for a story I'd hoped to be working on. Unfortunately for me it was Sunday and not too many people are around or open on Sundays, especially in Lyndonville. Thankfully a fellow News 7-er gave me a jingle and lead me to a derailed train in East Burke. On the way their my photog and I were talking about what we were going to expect. I think what we wound up seeing was far from what both of us had imagined. It was a snow plow locamotive which was traveling from Newport VT to Wells River cleaning off the tracks for other trains to pass through. We met some interesting people at the scene. It was the first time I'd heard of a train enthusiast. There were people chasing the chain to take pictures of it as it passed through. I guess that could be a fun alternative to a TV filled Sunday morning. I was very thankful to receive that story, I was able to do my weekend duty in just a couple hours and do it well... Even though that meant I had to come home and do homework.. BOOOO. Oh well, everything's said and done and now I get to enjoy my day off and be lazy! Love it!
